Grayson's New Room

We haven't finished Grayson's room yet. Since we (and by we I mean mostly my dad and a little bit Bobby) just painted on Saturday, we haven't put anything on the walls or on the shelf that runs around the room. Once his room is completed, I'll post more pictures. But for now, this is it...

Grayson was being a little cantankerous when I was taking pictures. He decided to hide under his covers. Hopefully, you can get the general idea of what his new quilt, sham, and sheets look like. They are from Target and are a part of Grayson's birthday gift from my parents.

This is the view as you walk into his room. I have pictures/wall art to go on each side of the window. On one side will be a football and on the other a basketball.

I have also purchased some sports decals to go on his wall, though I'm not exactly sure where they are going yet.

Grayson LOVES sports, so I thought he would really like his new room. But when dealing with an almost 3 year old, you never know how or if he will react to a big change. He spent Saturday night with my parents so we could let the paint dry and the fumes diminish. When he first walked into his room on Sunday morning, he said, "Ooohhh, I love it!" I said, "Do you really like it?" He said, "I love it! It's so pretty!"

**********************************

Once again, I need to thank my dad for painting Grayson's room. Whatever I ask him to do he does it. In this case I knew for sure he would do it since it was for Grayson.

My mom has a couple of things she wants done at their house and my sister has a project she wants him to do at her house. I told my mom that with all three of us asking him to do something at the same time I knew who would win...Grayson. And, I was right.

There is a quote I've seen several times before and I think my parents (and Bobby's) would say it's true. It's something like this..."If I had known how wonderful grandkids were going to be, I would have had them first."
