Tablescape Thursday

Susan at Between Naps on the Porch is hosting her 45th Tablescape Thursday this week. To see her table, as well as, those of other participants be sure to visit her blog.

With the 4th of July approaching, I thought it would be appropriate to do a patriotic table. I set my breakfast area table with good ole red, white, and blue.

Almost everything on the table is something I already owned (or my mother did). The only things I purchased were the cloth napkins (which are actually dish towels from Dollar Tree) for $1 each and 4 sheets of blue starred scrapbook paper that I got for around 30 cents each.

I used a red sheet for the tablecloth. I then put down the blue scrapbook paper to serve as a placemat/charger. Next, I layered on the dishes. My mother loaned me her red salad plate and bowl, which are from Southern Living at HOME, to help complete the look.

I added a small vase of white flowers on one side of the table and a shorter matching vase on the other side with a votive candle. And, if you'll notice in the above photo on the top left-hand side, the lovely Target salt and pepper shakers are making another appearance.

For the centerpiece I used a sailboat, which I bought a few years back on a trip to Branson.

I hope everyone has a safe and happy 4th of July!

I am thinking you do not live far from me, why don't you just come and decorate my house for the 4th, because even with help, I could not have my setting look like this! LOL Looks GREAT!

I love the beautiful sailboat on the table. It gives the table such a east coast feel - so the Kennedys!

That Sailboat is terrific! This makes a table special and the candle behind it really shows off the sails. Great Job!

Love the patriotic table! I always enjoy your blog.
I came back by to mention that I am hosting a Christmas in July Tablescape Party at my Playing Dishes blog. There will be one held each Saturday this month. Please come and participate or at least visit. A holiday tablecloth will be given away on the last Saturday, July 25. Info on signups is available by clicking my sidebar memes available on both my blogs.

I am also having a weekly Christmas giveaway at my Christmas Memories in My Heart blog. Weekly entries are closed out a midnight on Wednesday for this.

Hopefully some of you tablescape regulars will pull together a tablescape for CIJ or pull out some photos from last year to post.

Happy CIJ!
